I adore your writing. If you want indie or other publishing advise, visit me at (same name but on org site; I don’t like leaving links in comments.) I am sick and find it hard to work on the writing I have and the writing communities I am involved with. Maybe if I have an “epic failure” like yours (not), I will have a trilogy just like you do. “which left the loose end of Hamilton in the hall with a gun doing nothing” I don’t see that as a problem. It’s a bit like the cooking range repair man who attached a wrench to the side of the oven and asked the owner’s little boy to hold it. It kept the little boy from getting under his feet, and at the same time, made the little boy feel important.
If you ever publish this as a novel – paper or e-book, I shall be buying a copy. I loved it. It has everything going for it – drama, emotion, tension and a satisfying ending. All in all, a rollicking good yarn.

best of luck with all your writing projects. inspiration for new ideas is always out there somewhere. some times it falls into your lap easily; other times it takes some searching. but never give up. i’ve just got out of a long dry spell i thought would never end. every day i try to write some new stuff, both for my blog, The National Harold-Gazette, and for other projects.
most of all, have fun with it. even when writing the serious stuff.
